Half Moon House is a beautiful self-catered holiday cottage for couples, families and groups to rent in Swaledale, North Yorkshire.

The cottage will comfortably sleep up to 9 people in 4 rooms spread across 3 floors of this beautiful English holiday cottage.
The building itself is an historic, 300-year old building with views of the main green area of the village of Reeth in North Yorkshire.

One of their main selling points is that they are a pet-friendly holiday cottage and visitors are encouraged to bring their pet (e.g. dog) to the cottage for free during the stay.

We were approached to build a new website for Half Moon House with one of the key requirements being to achieve increased visibility in the search engines.

The new website benefits from an attractive and stylish design using a colour scheme of purple, blue and white. It also benefits from a new logo and multiple lightbox galleries of stunning photographs that were taken by Blue Ice on a visit to the cottage.

A custom made high definition video was produced of the local area and uploaded to YouTube. This video was integrated into the home page of the website to give visitors a sense of what to expect from their holiday.

Finally, a guestbook was added to this 7 page website along with integration of free booking management software that can be updated by the owner to show when the property is available to rent.

The website is achieving stunning results in the search engines and traffic has increased significantly compared to the old website – with perhaps as much as 5-times more traffic than before.
